Custom Design and Engraving

Create your own masterpiece. Your designs and our quality materials and machinery can create something truly unique.

Are you looking to create something with your designs? Do you have an intricate project that would take weeks to cut out or build? We can help you bring your design to a tangible reality. Below is our process, how it works, how we charge and how you can order. You are only limited by your imagination when it comes to the art of laser etching.

Laser cutting is a precise method of cutting a design from a given material using a CAD file to guide it. There are a number of machines that complete this process, we use CO 2 machines. This involves a laser which cuts by melting, burning or vaporizing the target material. You can achieve a supremely fine level of detail on with a wide variety of materials using these machines, however CO 2 lasers can’t cut metals and hard materials, they can however engrave them.

Step 1: Prepare your artwork, check your spelling, and get it ready for magic.

We require all files to be provided in .pdf or .eps format. All fonts should be outlined and no smaller than 5pt if you would like it to be legible. For best results use solid black for engraving and a 0.1pt red stroke for cutting.

Step 2: Select your materials from our tried and true range, or send us an image and ask if we can burn the hell out of it.

We have a range of materials available including solid timbers, vaneers, plywoods, coloured and metallic acrylics. If you have an idea and some artwork, get in touch with us and we can help give you an idea of what’s possible and what it will cost.

Step 3: We process your art, send you a quote and wait for your glorious approval.

We charge by how much material is used, or for special materials, we charge for how much has to be ordered. When it comes to fees for laser engraving, we can advise how long an engraving will take, and therefore how much it will cost.

Step 4: We take delight in watching your job engrave itself, and deliver it to your door.

Now is where the magic happens, we mount the material into the laser, set up the artwork and let the laser do its job. Most times within an hour, your art is immortalised into your product of choice and cut with absolute precision. We then carefully pack your art, and courier it to your door.
